Appearance:  These mollusks have a thick, soft and fleshy body, which can be very small or as big as six feet across.

 

Muscular-Skeletal:  A Mollusk has a soft body and an outer shell. The molluscs have a muscular foot, which help them in movement.

 

Digestion:  Food is brought in mollusks through a siphon system and then it reaches to its mouth. After that it goes to the digestive gland and to its intestine. And, finally the wastes leave via the anus.

 

Nervous System:  It is a very interesting fact about the mollusks, that they do not have formal nervous system. They have a series of ganglia that conduct impulses.

 

Respiration:  They have tubes called siphons, which bring water in and out of their bodies. In this way, they can get oxygen and give off carbon dioxide. They also have gills, which helps them in this.

 

Reproduction:  A Mollusk can be either male or female and they reproduce sexually using a large organ called a gonad.
